Product type:
Dentures (complete dentures, partial dentures and combination dentures)
Description:
When providing dentures for missing teeth, a distinction is made between complete dentures, toothless dentures and partial dentures (individual teeth are still retained and required as retaining supports).
The complete denture:
Complete dentures are usually made of plastic and attach themselves to the mucous membrane thanks to their edge design. As the jaw changes over time, regular relining is usually necessary. In the case of allergies, monomer-free plastics are available that are processed thermoplastically or from plastics with a low monomer content. The teeth used can still be characterized aesthetically. This is also possible in the area of the tooth necks with the denture acrylic by inserting color pigments.
The partial denture:
Partial dentures, also known as model cast dentures, are made from chrome-cobalt-molybdenum alloys. A metal clasp encloses the remaining teeth, which are necessary as retaining elements. The disadvantage is that the retaining tooth can be damaged by the rubbing effect of the metal clasp. The teeth to be replaced are incorporated into a plastic saddle. The cast model denture is the standard restoration.
The combination denture:
In order to attach retaining elements, so-called attachments, bars or telescopic crowns, some or all of the remaining teeth are crowned. This ensures a firm hold. The dentures are easy to remove, allowing for thorough cleaning and hygiene. The firm hold of the prosthesis can be readjusted by activating the attachment parts. In addition, telescopic dentures can also be extended years later - possibly up to a complete denture. Particular attention is paid to individuality and aesthetics with these high-quality combination works.
