The appliance doesn't have touch controls but is equipped with four physical buttons with click-in positions. You can also purchase a non-slip pan mat as an optional extra. This heat-resistant mat makes it easy to place your pans correctly on the cooktop.
You place the mat on the cooktop. While the mat covers the top left and bottom right of the cooktop, it has two large holes that cut out the cooking zone, indicating precisely where the pan should be placed. The mat's hard edges allow you to easily place your pan by feel. For the pans in the bottom left and top right, there aren't full cutouts; you can slide them against the rounded center of the mat. This makes it virtually impossible for a pan to end up on the cooktop incorrectly.
The mat also comes with two rubber transfer knobs. These are placed over two knobs on your cooktop. This allows you to distinguish the knobs from the other two knobs not only by sight but also by touch. This allows you to cook entirely by feel.
The mat is easy to clean.
